The Mentor Corps

Yes, even old fishermen can learn new casts! So here I go with a blog. Quite frankly, I'm very excited about this new way for me to share up-to-date ministry news with you. I will lift up current Mentor Corps activities, highlight our ministry needs and share some inspiring testimonials I call the "Front lines" of Mentors and Mentees. Thank you for being engaged with me through your prayers, comments, feedback and support!

New bible study workshops.

By Jim on August 2, 2010

I’ve developed new Discipleship Equipping Bible Study Sessions! These workshops are great for those who want to dig into discipleship in action.  They can also help train your current Mentor team.

Get a church group together, meet over your lunch hour or if you personally want to sit in on a session, contact Jim at jim@thementorcorps.org or 612-963-0820.

We’re looking for Mentors!

By Jim on August 2, 2010

Do you have a men’s group at your church? Consider inviting Jim in for a fun and informative 30-minute “Casting for Christ” message on discipleship “fishers of men” mentoring (we call Mentors working together a “squad”). Learn how mentoring can be a rewarding discipleship growth step while providing significant reentry and renewal guidance for those who are willing to follow Christ and a bold Mentor as their guide. For more details, contact Jim at jim@thementorcorps.org or 612-963-0820.
